OUR MISSION

The Forza Difference

At Forza Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, we believe that exceptional outcomes are achieved through a combination of clinical expertise, personalized care, collaboration, and patient engagement. Every aspect of our practice is designed to provide a higher level of service and a better rehabilitation experience.

Our clinicians are committed to understanding the treatment philosophies of the providers with whom we work. Through professional collaboration and direct observation of orthopedic and sports medicine procedures, we gain valuable insight into surgical techniques, post-operative considerations, and physician decision-making. This knowledge allows us to better educate patients, coordinate care more effectively, and optimize outcomes throughout the recovery process.

We understand that no two patients are alike. Whether you are a student-athlete recovering from injury, a parent trying to keep up with your children, an active adult pursuing recreational activity, or an individual recovering from surgery, your treatment plan should reflect your unique needs, goals, and lifestyle.

Foot and Ankle

One of the most important aspects of our care model is collaboration. Successful rehabilitation often requires a team approach, and we work closely with primary care providers, orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, podiatrists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals throughout Maine to ensure patients receive coordinated, comprehensive care.

Communication with referring providers is an important part of our treatment process. We collaborate to ensure rehabilitation remains aligned with each patient’s overall treatment plan, provide updates regarding progress and recovery, and help identify situations where additional evaluation or intervention may be beneficial.

When appropriate, we also help patients navigate treatment options that fall outside the scope of physical therapy, including diagnostic imaging, injections, surgical consultation, and referral to other specialists. Our goal is to ensure every patient receives the right care at the right time.

Many of our referral relationships have been built over years of collaboration and mutual trust. We value those relationships and believe they play an important role in helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes.

Our Approach to Care

Pain and injury rarely occur in isolation. The human body functions as an integrated system, and dysfunction in one area often influences movement and symptoms elsewhere.

For this reason, our evaluations go beyond the site of pain. We assess movement patterns, strength, mobility, balance, flexibility, coordination, and functional performance to identify the factors contributing to symptoms and limitations.

Rather than simply treating pain, our goal is to identify and address the underlying causes of dysfunction. Through a combination of hands-on treatment, therapeutic exercise, movement retraining, education, and performance-based rehabilitation, we help patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvements.

We believe that informed patients make better decisions about their health. Education is a cornerstone of our treatment philosophy, and we strive to ensure every patient understands their condition, treatment plan, and path toward recovery.

Committed to Our Community

Forza Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine is proud to be an active part of the communities we serve. Our team has strong personal, educational, athletic, and professional connections throughout Central Maine, allowing us to better understand the individuals, families, athletes, and organizations that make our region unique.

Collectively, our clinicians have educational, athletic, coaching, and professional ties to Thomas College, Colby College, the University of Maine, Husson University, and the University of New England. We have also worked with and supported athletes from many local schools and communities, including Cony, Hall-Dale, Gardiner, Messalonskee, Winthrop, Waterville, Monmouth Academy, Kents Hill School, Winslow, Erskine Academy, and St. Michael School.  Annually, we volunteer at the Augusta Ironman event working providing pro bono care to the athletes and staff participating in this event.
